Aaron finally got meds for his strep and is no longer contagious - last night I got to sleep in the same bed as my husband for the first time since last weekend.  And I got to go to the gym for the first time in a week this morning as well.  Because Aaron's been sick and banned to the bedroom, I couldn't go to the gym because Nick isn't responsible enough to watch Chloe for that long yet.  I'm getting ready to go to Bonfils this morning and donate blood.  They posted on twitter that three local heart surgeries has tapped their supply of O-neg blood.  I happen to be O-neg - I'm a universal donor.  The thing that sucks is that anybody can have my blood type (except for AB-neg people) but if I ever need a transfusion, I can only have O-neg blood.  I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO special lol.  Bye all!

Aaron is sick - we think it's strep but the rapid test came back negative yesterday and we won't get the results from the lab until tomorrow.  In the meantime, he's been laying in bed since yesterday morning with a temperature and feeling yuck.  I really hate when my family is sick - I wish it was me who would get sick.  I can't stand seeing people in pain.  I think this is why I avoided visiting Diana very much when she was diagnosed with cancer.  :(  I'll always regret that.

Work is going great - Ingrid bought me a massage and a pedicure and gave me a half day off work paid as my 2 year anniversary gift.  Not too many bosses give you presents on work anniversaries - that's just one more thing that I love about my boss.

Dishes are calling, and my laptop is about to die.  I just wanted to check in with everybody.

My boss' mom sent me about 97 lbs of homemade baklava.  I ate 93 lbs and shared the other 4.  Thanks to HCG, I really didn't gain very much weight from eating all that darn baklava!  Renee and I are still hitting the gym - we're supposed to be going 4 times a week, but for the last three weeks I think we've only gone 3 times per week.  Things keep coming up (marketing events, baby showers, etc.) and we have decided that if something is happening on our scheduled gym day, we're just going to skip the gym rather than try to make up the time later.  I don't want working out to be something that interferes with the rest of my life.  We did legs night last night and so far I'm not sore.  Normally it takes two days before I feel sore from a workout so tomorrow I'll probably be hurting pretty badly.  I did 3 sets of 20 reps on the hip adduction and hip abduction machine.  Started off at 135 lbs and ended up at 155 lbs.  When I first started in February, I could only do about 20 lbs. I'm up to 40-55 lbs on the tricep machine (up from about 10-15 lbs) and can calf-press 205 lbs.  I have massive leg muscles lol.

I'm tired of feeling busy - and whenever I feel like I have a few moments of spare time I never want to sit and blog, I usually want to sit and do nothing. 

Nothing interesting has been happening around here - I'm going to the RMPA Annual Dinner tonight as a vendor for my work so I guess that's kind of interesting.  I'm also accompanying Jacob and his class to a field trip tomorrow to the Denver Money Museum.  I'm not excited about that at all.

Zumba

I gave Zumba a try last night and really liked it.  I'm lacking in coordination though, and my rhythm could use a little work, but I think it was mostly because I was just trying to figure out the moves.  I found out that my butt is bigger than I thought it was - I'd sway my hips one way and my butt would go the other.  Still a fun workout though.

2 lbs!

I lost 2 lbs in the last week.  My bodybugg showed a total deficit of only 648 calories but according to my weight loss I had a calorie deficit of 1000 calories.  Normally what happens is my bodybugg thinks I ate more calories than I actually did - never LESS.  I'm down to 160 lbs now.  I had gotten down to 162 one time back in 2008, but it took months and months and then I shot right back up to the upper 180s after that because I got so sick of feeling like I was starving all the time.  I got down into the upper 150's with HCG, but then didn't finish out my third round and went straight from P2 to eating whatever I wanted and eating a lot of it (plus I quit smoking) and got back up to 167 or 168.  Guess what I did when that happened?  I freaked out and started smoking again.  I would give anything to go back and smack my 16 year old self around for ever starting smoking.
